Videobolt was founded in 2016 and has since gathered around 200,000 registered users, while their software solution was used to create almost 300,000 videos. The platform itself is primarily aimed at marketers, but according to CEO Momčilo Stojković, the plan is to make it available to a wider audience. In particular, the investment is aimed to develop and implement two new solutions for brand managers and marketers, as well as freelance designers and marketing agencies.
Jan Kobler, the head of SC Ventures fund in Belgrade explains this move:
Videobolt brings a new and easy-to-use solution to the market for individuals and businesses engaged in large amounts of video content. Aside from their product and technology, I have to say that what attracted us to this company was their bootstrap ability, as I, myself, have witnessed the incredible progress the Videobolt team has been able to achieve with very little resources and in a limited time frame.
South Central Ventures has so far invested in 11 more Serbian startups and we have previously written about some of their investments.
