The leading global provider of immigration and visa services for corporations and individuals CIBT acquired Viselio – a startup that digitizes the process of obtaining travel documents.
Viselio was started in 2016 by Niklas and Rolland Zeller, while Boris Stevanović joined in 2017 as a co-founder and CTO of the company. According to Boris, Niklas was living in Serbia at that time and was familiar with the tech talent in that country. The company expanded across the EU over the years, and survived a challenging period of time during COVID when the travel industry was hit very hard by adapting its services and introducing new functionalities in partnership with PCR test centers. With the gradual return to everyday life, travel has again become an integral part of our lives, which resulted in the decision for the American CIBT to acquire the Viselio platform and its development team, which will help this company accelerate its technical development and further expand its business.
CIBT has more than 1,300 employees, distributed in 60 offices in 25 countries. This company is the primary provider of immigration services for 75% of Fortune 500 companies. In addition to the platform, CIBT decided to take over the entire development and research team, which is based in Belgrade, Serbia.
