Supported jointly by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and Digital Serbia Initiative, 13 state colleges and universities from Belgrade, Kragujevac and Niš have started the process to gain accreditation for these programmes. They are planing to enroll 140 students in the first year.
According to the terms of the open call, all higher education institutions involved are obliged to enroll at least two generations of students. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, as well as the University of Kragujevac, are in the process of accreditation for their Master 4.0 programmes, scheduled to start from October 2019, while the start of the remaining two programmes is planned for the second semester, in January 2020.
Master 4.0 programmes will cover areas such as data analytics, bioinformatics, Internet of Things, machine learning, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, as well as business subjects such as management, finance and accounting, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Created in university-business dialogue, it is expected that this unique blend of IT and business knowledge will help in the emergence of a new generation of digital professionals in our country.
The strength of these programmes lies in the fundamental and applicable knowledge that will, through over 130 courses, provide students with more than 300 lecturers from some of the best faculties in Serbia, foreign universities, and companies with a proven track record in domestic and global digital market.
Among IT companies participating in the implementation of the programme are Microsoft, Comtrade, Infostud, Symphony, Siemens, Endava, Levi9, SAP, Saga, while companies involved in other sectors include Telecom Serbia, Coca-Cola Hellenic, Metalac, EY, Raiffeisen bank, NIS and many others.
