The main product of this startup is a drone system that allows viewing and protecting a certain space (perimeter) and saves the time that people currently spend on surveillance and security. Simply put, Easy Aerial trains drones to recognize if someone or something is moving around the space and, if so, alarm the person in charge.
The company has come a long way since their start in 2015. Today, they are the exclusive supplier of drone-in-a-box solutions for the US military, which provided them with a $1.5M development grant. Over the years they have fundraised several rounds, totaling around $3M.
One of the founders, Belgrade-based Ninoslav Ajibaba, tells the story of how Easy Aerial came to be:
Easy Aerial was founded by Ivan Stamatovski (CTO), an industrial designer who has lived and worked in New York for over 15 years. Shortly after, I merged my VRlabs company with the startup and then Ido Gur (CEO) joined us.
I deal with virtual reality systems and have worked with many large clients around the world, from Boeing to IBM. Ido was a major in Israeli Aviation, where he headed the Advanced UAV division. Our team is an interesting, different and productive set—bringing together completely different worlds.

Easy Aerial’s first success was a modular drone that had a successful kickstarter campaign. After that, the company pivoted to a drone-in-a-box concept and devised a drone charging / centering mechanism that allowed for system autonomy. The development of a completely autonomous solution required developing electronics and software, which was entirely done in Belgrade.
The company is recognized as the dominant market leader in their category and continues to develop the product for an ever-growing number of clients globally, the most prominent of which is the United States Air Force.
