Growing steadily since 2006, with no slowdown in sight
In February 2020, The Government of the Republic of Serbia published information regarding export of ICT services in 2019. Within the first 8 months, Serbian companies exported $1.081 billion (€913 million) worth of services, doubling the amount from 2016, and exceeding the export from 2018 by 26.4%. The year 2019 was concluded with $1.681 billion (€1.42 billion) ICT services exported from Serbia, setting a new record for the Serbian tech industry.
Compared to 2006, when the ICT sector had estimated $177.67 million (€150 million) worth of equity, in 2018 it had over $798.32 million (€674 million), quadrupling the amount in 12 years, doubling every 4 years.
This is the 14th year of consecutive growth in export of Serbian ICT sector. It remains to be seen how COVID-19 will impact the export of ICT services in 2020.
